Magnolia High Schools back on BYR
After the long summer break, and with the beginning of the new school year, the Magnolia High Schools continue with their broadcasts on BYR. The Magnolia High School broadcasts from 11;30a to 12:30p each weekday. Magnolia West High School broadcasts from 1P to 2P each weekday. Both schools can be heard on BYR or our stream. Please support our local kids, local schools and local radio.

Local Sports Updates on BYR
Tune in to BYR each Monday at 7am and again on Wednesday at 12:30pm to hear local high school and college sports updates by our own Joe Weaver aka “Local Joe” Join BYR in welcoming Joe to our family of local programmers which keep our community informed.

On the air for over eighty-five years and 4,400 weekly broadcasts, Music & the Spoken Word is the longest-running uninterrupted network broadcast in the world. BYR Welcomes the “Cool Jazz Countdown”
Heard on BYR each Sunday at 1pm, and originating from Baltimore Maryland with host Marcellus Shepard the Cool Jazz Countdown is a weekly survey based on national jazz chart movement, listener feedback and local radio airplay. It highlights the Top Ten Jazz Albums of the week within the Traditional and Contemporary Jazz genres. And oh yea, It’s cool.

Blue Texan Radio now heard on Backyard Radio
We’re proud to Welcome Matt Matthews and Blue Texan Radio to BYR. Tune in Saturdays from 7p to 9P to hear what Matts calls “Americana Outlaw County”. Matt breaks all the rules, because the are no rules on “Blue Texan Radio”.

Construction Finalizing
BYR is in the final stages of the transmitter construction. If all continues to go as planned we expect to be broadcasting in October.
